Asbestos is a noxious fibrous mineral. Chrysotile (White), Amosite (Brown) and Crocidolite (Blue) are often building materials for example toilet cistern. Its use is widespread, for example - as it has characteristic heat resistance qualities and it may be found in textured coatings. Technically all forms are ultimately pernicious and might lead to lung cancer following prolonged exposure.

If discovered, one must be careful never to break asbestos and expert advice should be sought without delay. Never endeavour to handle it yourself.
