Coronavirus (Covid-19) and FAQs

During these times of uncertainty, looking after our customers and employees is our top priority. As you will be aware, the government has advised on all but essential travel and contact between individuals both at work and at home, in order to effectively roll out their social distancing programme.

Can I still progress with my survey?

As each booking is unique and with respect of the government guidelines, we remain open on a case-by-case basis. This means that our surveyors who are working, are taking careful and selective measures in order to protect themselves and others during this time, and will continue to do so until further advice is given.

Our surveyors who are working will:

  • Be wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during their travels and on arrival at each inspection
  • Only carry out RICS Home Survey inspections if the property is vacant and unoccupied, or if occupied that the owner/occupier is not present
  • Issue all correspondence and reports solely by electronic means and no hard copies will be sent or accepted


What happens if my surveyor becomes unwell or the situation changes, and my booking is cancelled?

If your surveyor becomes unwell or your there is a change in the situation, and your booking needs to be cancelled, you will receive notice of this immediately. As soon as a new date becomes available you will be notified, and we will work with the surveyor to ensure your survey remains a priority.

What if my transaction falls through?

Our no-completion protection protects your fixed fee quote in the event that your property transaction falls through. Should your transaction fail to complete, for whatever reason, you will pay no further fees on that transaction. Your initial payment will rollover on to one more survey instruction with us, meaning that your money is protected.
